I know that the Solar Activity has been waning over the past month or so.
This of course does not mean that the Solar Flares/CME's are done by any means. In fact, Solar Flares can happen at any time and do not need to be part of the Storm Season (every 11 years).
There is very little info on this new one, I don't even think that NOAA Space Weather has a Number for this one. It could possibly be from a volcanic type eruption of AR 1582.
Will update post as new information becomes available.
UPDATED 21:54 CST 5.10.2012
The source of the cloud appears to
be an eruption of magnetic fields connecting sunspots
1582 and 1579. This conclusion is preliminary, however,
and may be revised later today when more data are
available. For now it appears that the CME will
deliver a glancing blow to Earth's magnetic field
on Oct. 7-8.
A new plasma blob (CME) bursts forth from the sun!
It appears to be moving at about 1.3 million miles per hour (roughly 600 km/s). This image of the eruption was captured by the coronagraph aboard NASAs STEREO-A spacecraft.
Forecasters are on the job analyzin' the blob. We're using the available coronagraph imagery and preparing a WSA-ENLIL numerical model run to see if, and when, the CME would get here. Stay tuned.

Update:
Plasma Blob CME: Glancing Blow with Geomagnetic Storms (G1). That's a
bunch of Hits over the past 2 Weeks. Our magnetosphere is like
Chainmail i.e. It takes Damage and can be Weakened/Defeated. FYI
EMERGING
CME: A coronal mass ejection (CME)
left the sun this morning and it could be heading
for Earth. Orbiting at the L1 Lagrange point, the
Solar and Heliosphere Observatory captured this
image of the expanding cloud:
