When Drones Attack - Part IV - Tampa, Mpls.?

Well I kinda thought this was going to be an ongoing series about that group "those that are here to help you people" getting up close and personal with Surveillance/Drones.

It is, but is veering onto an interesting Path.  It's not upsetting to most Sheeple.  Has anyone seen the Minority Report already?  You do NOT want A.I. thinking for Cops, I mean for many reasons.

Apparently all these riots and mayhem the Media predicted for Tampa must have gone unreported or was simple "spoon feeding" as usual.

Another Convention this week.  How many Vets need to be detained on Trumped-Up BS to make the rest of them see that this is getting progressively worse.  Incremental Suspension of our Rights is happening bit by bit (no pun intended).

Keep an eye and an ear to what is happening around you.  If you notice subtle changes in patterns or methods by "those people",   Monitor This.
I'm not interested in calling out the perpetrators, but we still have rights as Citizens, Right?

Right?

FL Watchblog: Drones deployed over RNC in downtown Tampa

By   /   August 24, 2012

Unmanned aerial vehicles, similar to this predator drone, will be on the prowl in downtown Tampa during the week of the RNC
TAMPA— It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a…drone?
Convention-goers gearing up for the Republican National Convention next week should prepare
themselves for some clandestine company, according to the Tampa Tribune, as it has been announced that drones will be dispatched to help safeguard the highly publicized event.
As known as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, drones have been perfected in war zones from Afghanistan to Iraq and Libya, and have been seen regularly on the Mexican and Canadian borders.
The vehicles contain surveillance gear used to track suspected troublemakers who may be looking to wreak havoc at the Republican’s nominating convention for former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney.
More from the Tampa Tribune‘s Howard Altman:
The vehicle, called an Aether Aero, is an eight-bladed vertical takeoff platform that will provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance to government agencies, according to Curt Winter, an engineer with United Drones.
The 41/2-foot-wide Aether Aero, which resembles a small helicopter, can fly up to 4,000 feet high and, with a specially built battery, can operate up to four hours at a time, Winter said. It is equipped with a 109x optical zoom camera, can lift up to 50 pounds and is so light it can be picked up with two fingers, according to Chris Knott, United Drones‘ director of corporate development.
Similar unmanned drones have been used by local law enforcement in places such as North Dakota, where six cows were reportedly stolen from a family farm and tracked down with the help of a Predator B drone.
According to both the Department of Homeland Security and FBI, there is a chance that “anarchist extremists” may be present at the Republican and Democratic conventions, the latter in Charlotte, and it has caused a significant police presence to build all along Tampa Bay—drones included.

Orient Road Jail cleared out to handle RNC arrests - CBS

Posted: 08/22/2012
TAMPA - A big factor during the RNC is the potential for a large number of arrests.
In anticipation, in an unprecedented move, Hillsborough County jail officials announced one facility is completely cleared and essentially reconstructed just for the  Republican National Convention.
The man in charge, Colonel Jim Previtera, took charge as he walked us through the Orient Road Jail.
The colonel began in the carport, where, he said, "The inmates will be unloaded, they will be searched and walked through a metal detector which has been added for this event."
The entire facility has been transformed.  At around noon Wednesday, the last of the inmates, excluding a dozen or so trustees prepared to handle cooking and cleaning duties, were moved out to nearby Falkenburg Road Jail.
Anyone arrested during the RNC will be brought to Orient Road Jail.
"As you can see, everything here -- including the chairs -- are color coded to handle this process efficiently and thoroughly," said Previtera.
Officials have essentially created a temporary booking facility.
They are ready to handle a mass amount of inmates.  Previtera said the system can handle 1000 additional arrests.
"We'll take their fingerprints and photographs.  We'll also collect property," said Previtera. "There are three scenarios, inmates will either get bonded out, go before a judge who will be stationed at Falkenberg Road Jail with a video feed into Orient Road Jail, or they'll be released."
Officials have created a temporary courtroom, an entire work area for the public defender's office and the clerk of court.
They also had to have complete medical resources.  "We don't know what to expect. We couldn't call in 30 doctors and medical personnel at the last moment. So we are prepared with a staff that can handle the most serious cases," said Previtera.
In addition, there is a central command office.  "We will also have access to the Tampa Police incident command centers that will help us with transportation, including what's going in the streets, " said Previtera.
Prior to the tour, Previtera said this was 15 months in the making and everything has been thought through.  And that includes taking bad weather into consideration.
"From a jail standpoint, that has been part of the plan. You half-heartedly talk about it, but we live in Florida.  There are storms.  We can't call a time out.  So pending weather we are ready to transport inmates," said Previtera.
Multiple agencies will assist the jails.
Officials are confident they are ready.
The system will be up and running by Sunday 6 a.m.
Colonel Jim Previtera was also profiled in Sarina Fazan's 10 questions segment.  You can find that story at http://wfts.tv/PhPcK5 .

Downtown Mpls. Becomes Black Hawk Helicopter Training Zone - WCCO

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8oPU2rUeNo&feature=player_detailpage#t=5s
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - If you see military helicopters flying low over Minneapolis, don’t be alarmed. They’re just training in an urban environment.
The U.S. Special Operations Command will be conducting exercises until the beginning of September. This week they’re using helicopters, including Black Hawks.
They’re not giving out their exact training locations because they don’t want crowds to gather.
But you may get a glimpse of the helicopters flying low between 7 p.m. and midnight.

Well, that's nice.  Everybody's getting ready.
 Why aren't you?
