Will Frustrated Homeowners And Armed Posses Take Matters Into Their Own Hands As Home Invasions Rise? - Prepper Central http://preppercentral.com/?p=2981

Photo-by-U.S.-Fire-Arms-Mfg.-Co.-460x383
Violent crime is on the rise in the United States, and many Americans are totally fed up.  According to the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics, the number of household burglaries rose by 14 percent last year, and the overall rate of violent crime in the United States increased by 18 percent during 2011.

Based on what we have seen so far this year, we will almost certainly see another huge increase once the statistics for 2012 are released.  All over the country criminals are becoming bolder.  Meanwhile, police budgets are being slashed from coast to coast.  Things have gotten so bad in some communities that police are openly admitting that crime is completely and totally out of control.  For example, police in Detroit recently handed out flyers with this message: “Enter Detroit at your own risk“.  Sadly, you can’t even escape the crime and the violence by staying in your own home these days.  Home invasions are becoming increasingly common, and many police departments seem powerless to stop them.  If many of the poorer areas of America today, if you are a victim of a home invasion you will be really lucky to get a police officer to show up a couple of hours later to fill out a report.  A lot of frustrated home owners have had enough and have started to arm themselves to the teeth.  Some have even begun to form armed posses to patrol their own neighborhoods.  We are watching America change right in front of our eyes, and it is frightening to think about what is coming next.
The streets of some U.S. cities have been transformed into war zones at this point.  Juts check out this excerpt from a recent story about the horrific violence that is taking place in Camden, New Jersey
At the vigil last week, residents prayed that Camden would simply find peace and that the masked gunman who killed Jewel Manire and Khalil Gibson would be caught.
As it grew darker, Michael Benjamin stood toward the back of the crowd, his son huddled even closer now, and shook his head.
“I’ve known at least 45 kids who’ve been killed in my lifetime,” he said, the boy holding his finger. “I stopped counting in 2004, though.”
You may think that talk of “armed posses” patrolling local communities is a little “out there”, but the truth is that it is already happening.
For example, a groups of residents in Josephine County, Oregon have formed “the CAC Patrol“.  They have mounted flashing lights on to their vehicles and they openly carry guns as they patrol their neighborhoods…
There’s no room in the county jail for burglars and thieves. And the sheriff’s department in a vast, rural corner of southwest Oregon has been reduced by budget cuts to three deputies on patrol eight hours a day, five days a week.
But people in this traditionally self-reliant section of timber country aren’t about to raise taxes to put more officers on the road. Instead, some folks in Josephine County, larger than the state of Rhode Island, are taking matters into their own hands — mounting flashing lights on their trucks and strapping pistols to their hips to guard communities themselves. Others have put together a virtual neighborhood watch, using Facebook to share tips and information.
“I believe in standing up for myself rather than waiting for the government to do something for me,” said Sam Nichols, a retired marina manager.
Nichols has organized a posse of about a dozen fed-up residents who have started patrolling the small community of O’Brien, which has about 750 residents.
As home invasions continue to get worse all over the country, I expect that we will see a lot more of this type of thing.
In the old days, we were taught that if burglars enter your home that you should let them take whatever they want and leave.
But these days you simply cannot trust that they will leave you and your family alone.  Many home invaders actually hope to find someone inside that they can rape, and many victims end up dead.
That is exactly what happened to one man in Gary, Indiana the other day…
Last Friday, Jerry Hood, 48, of Gary, Ind., left work and decided to go home during lunchtime. Gary police said Hood, who was with a co-worker, noticed activity in his house and called police for help, but did not wait for police to arrive. Instead he went in and lost his life when he disrupted a home invasion, police say. Hood died from multiple gunshot wounds.
And that is exactly what happened to another man in Pontiac, Michigan recently…
A shootout during a possible home invasion left the 27-year-old owner dead and a suspected intruder wounded, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies were called about 3:25 a.m. to an address in the 800 block of Inglewood Avenue near Cesar Chavez, where a home invasion was reported.
12-year-old girl down in Oklahoma may have been added to the growing list of dead victims if she had not been willing to shoot first and ask questions later.
The story that she recently told police is absolutely chilling…
“He opened the screen door and started pounded on the door. So I didn’t answer it. And I called my mom. She said to go get the gun and hide in the closet.”
Kendra St. Clair says she stayed in the closet until she thought the coast was clear. So she went to check the back door.
And he was standing there trying to open it. So I got really scared and I called 911.”
She went back to the closet. That’s when she heard the man in the house.
“When I was back there on the phone with 911, I heard the bathroom light turn on that was leading to the closet. And when I saw the door handle turn, I shot him. I guess it went through the door, went through him, and went through the wall.”
What do you think would have happened to that 12-year-old girl if she had not had a gun?
You normally would not think of Oklahoma as a high crime state, but the truth is that home invasions are on the rise all over the nation.
Here is another home invasion story from Oklahoma.  A young mother was home alone with her three-month-old son when two men started breaking into her home.  Fortunately, she had a gun and was willing to use it…
An Oklahoma woman was recently home with her 3 month old son when two men tried to break in.  Armed with a shot gun and a pistol she called 9-1-1.
Operator: “Are your doors locked?”
Caller: “Yes, I’ve got two guns in my hand.   Is it ok to shoot him if he comes in this door?”
Operator: “I can’t tell you what you can do but you do what you have to do to protect your baby.”
The mother did shoot killing one of the intruders.  Oklahoma police called the shooting justified.

Would you do the same thing to protect your children?
Sadly, criminals are becoming more desperate than ever and many of them do not even care if there is anyone inside the homes that they are invading.
For much more on this, please see my previous article entitled “11 Shocking Home Invasion Horror Stories That Are Almost Too Creepy To Believe“.
Are you starting to see why I believe that more homeowners are going to start taking matters into their own hands?
Some areas of the country that once had very little crime are now seeing crime absolutely skyrocket.
A while back, I shared what one man down in Georgia says is going on in his neck of the woods…
I worked until around 9:30-10 Friday night, and Saturday morning my tools and equipment were gone. Footprints, fingerprints, a neighbor saw the guys and pickup truck – but the sheriff’s department can’t afford the resources to track them down (by comparison it’s not a violent/murder case or a $40k vehicle…) I have a security camera on the front gate, and they avoided that by a 100 foot radius – dragging everything across a fence and down into a ditch on the other side of the property.
The day before another neighbor literally met and passed by people that had just robbed his farm, on his way back from the store, less than a mile from his house – he recognized his stuff on the back of their trailer. This was in the middle of the day. His gate was locked – but they drove through the ditch and around a field to get to his house.
A local truck repair shop has been in business for 3 generations, and until a few weeks ago had never been robbed. They are on the main street of a little town, and live right behind the shop. The front door of the shop is about 30 feet back from the main street. The thieves parked in FRONT, and loaded up his equipment.
Another big shop was hit on a Saturday morning – main street going into town – they loaded up everything right out the front door, with people seeing them, hundreds of cars driving by… They have bolt cutters, whatever it takes to break in…
Another older shop had a heavy wood door with a metal hasp – they CHOPPED THROUGH THE DOOR WITH AN AXE to cut out the metal hasp. A house is 100 feet from this shop.
We live in Georgia, south of Atlanta, and theft has become so bad, the state recently required all scrap yards to take pictures of everything brought in, with a picture of who brought it, a copy of their drivers license, and their tag number. If it is air conditioning/heating equipment (bigger than a window unit) you must have a commercial heating/ac license or a new equipment bill of sale. People were ripping the copper ground wires off the sides of power poles and tearing wires off the poles for scrap.
A local gas station/restaurant had their AC equipment stolen so many times, they had to build a chain link locked enclosure around all the equipment. You can see it from the main street – out in plain view.
Do you have any stories like this that you would like to share?
What are you seeing in your neck of the woods?
Please feel free to post a comment with your thoughts below…

Praise for Prepper’s Home Defense:

Charlie Palmer, author of The Prepper Next Door, says:
Bestselling novelist Brian Keene gave Prepper’s Home Defense an Honorable Mention on his annual Top Ten list for 2012.

Stephanie Dayle of American Preppers Network says:

Book Description:
The power grid has been down for weeks. Flood waters fill city streets. Earthquakes have reduced roadways to rubble. Civilization is breaking down and there’s nowhere to go. Don’t expect the National Guard to rush in to protect the city. —It’s every man, woman, and family for themselves.
When looting, disorder, and anarchy sweep the land following a nightmare scenario, only those who have followed the action plan presented in this book will be armed with the tools and tactics needed to protect themselves and their property against destruction. From securing stored food, caching valuables, and stocking ammunition to building effective fencing, installing surveillance equipment, and training in the use firearms, this book is the most comprehensive, no-holds-barred guide to effectively saving the lives of one’s family members and ensuring the security of the home.
Even if one doesn’t own a house, Prepper’s Home Defense is a powerful survival tool for those trapped in a big city during a natural or man-made disaster, showing how even apartment- and condo-dwellers can survive for days without assistance and effectively use deadly force to protect themselves should the unthinkable unfold.

HOME INVASION PREVENTION PREVENT YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY FROM BECOMING THE NEXT VICTIM

Prevention – Prevention is the number one thing you can do to survive a home invasion. The harder you make it for a criminal to enter your home, the mo
re likely it is that they will move on to an easier target.

•Lock your Doors – It may sound like common sense but most break-ins occur when people fail to take even the most basic of precautions. Take a minute and do a quick run through before you leave your house and before you go to bed at night.
•Think like a thief. Walk around your house looking for weak points. Are there areas that would make it easy for a criminal to hide? Are there windows or doors that have been left open or vulnerable to entry?
•Break into your own home – Putting yourself in to the criminals mind can help you expose any weaknesses that you may have overlooked. Scope out your own home and see if you can find a way to break in.
•Secure your Windows – Windows are one of the weakest security points in most houses. To better secure your home make sure all window glass is double-pained laminated glass. As an added security measure you can apply Security Window Film that will make your glass shatterproof.
•Lighting – Lighting is an important aspect to home security that’s often overlooked. Criminals rely on stealth and surprise in order to commit their crimes. If you can make both of those harder on them they are less likely to see your home as an easy target.
Situational Awareness – Being aware of your surroundings is extremely important.

•A Quick Look. Before entering your home or garage do a quick inspection of your surroundings. Does everything look normal? Does it look the same as when you left?
•Keep an eye on who is in your neighborhood. Make sure you know what people and vehicles are in your neighborhood and be on the look out when a strange face starts lurking around.
•Change it up. Criminals are experts when it comes to situational awareness. They often scout out their targets weeks in advance. They watch for patterns and routines so they can strike when you are most vulnerable. Try to not live by a strict schedule and vary when you arrive at home or leave for work.
Weapons and Training – In a life or death situation having the right equipment and training can mean the difference between life and death. But having a gun doesn’t necessarily guarantee your safety.

Don’t get me wrong here, I 100% believe that having a gun and knowing how to use it is probably the most important thing you can do to prevent becoming a victim. But please notice the part where I mentioned “knowing how to use it.”

Having a gun is important but even more important is:

•Knowing what type of gun to choose for home defense.
•Knowing how to use it in a home defense situation.
•Constantly training in order to be effective when the time comes to use it.
•Making sure that everyone in your house knows what to do during a home invasion.
We train in the hopes of never having to use our skills in a real world situation. But should an unfortunate event happen that calls us in to action our training is the one thing that will likely determine the outcome.

What is the best gun for emergency preparedness?

Oct 20, 2012 · the Ready Store

We often get the question about  what type of gun we would recommend for emergency preparedness.
The answer is a bit complicated. It depends on what you’re going to use the gun for. Is it for hunting food that you’d need in an emergency? Is it for self-defense? Each gun has it’s different strengths and weaknesses and the gun you choose should be tailored to your specific needs.

Points to consider before you add a gun
Before you choose a gun for your preparedness needs, you’ll want to consider a few points:
What is the best gun for preparedness? What Needs Will You Have? Will you be using this gun for protection? For hunting? Just an intimidation factor? Whatever gun you choose will depend on what you’re going to use it for. For example, a rifle would be better for hunting during an emergency while a shotgun would be better for self-defense.
Popularity/Availability of Ammo. You might not be able to buy more ammo in an emergency. As a rare commodity, you’d need ammo that would be popular enough to fit in your gun. You’d also need a gun that takes a very popular type of ammunition.
How Much Ammunition the Gun Holds. How many rounds does the gun hold? This might affect your decision of gun because of the needs that you have.
Interchangeable Choke and Barrel. For shotguns, the choke of the gun is the tapered build of the gun that helps determine how much the shot will spread. The choke will determine the accuracy and range of the gun. An interchangeable choke will allow you to change the use of your gun from a longer range to a shorter range weapon. The barrel length also makes an impact on the range but more importantly makes it easier or more difficult to handle in close quarter like turning around corners in your home. Handling a 4-foot gun for self-defense to protect yourself from a perpetrator in your home will be impractical.
Safe Storage. How are you going to store the weapon? Is it going to fit inside of your 72-hour kit or would it be something you keep under your bed or in the top of your closet? Will the gun break apart and store in a different space? Depending on what you’re using the gun for and how readily available you need the gun, the answers might change. But always keep your gun in a safe place away from children. If you are going to own a gun, treat it with the respect it deserves & get proper gun safety training.
best gun for emergenciesUnderstand Your Weapon. No matter how many guns or how much ammunition you have, if you don’t understand how to use your gun and don’t have practice shooting it, it will be worthless. Or worse, your ignorance could cause injury or death for yourself, loved ones, or innocent people.
Which Gun Should I Own? Below we’ve listed the different types of guns you could consider acquiring for use in an emergency with some helpful details for each type of weapon. Please keep in mind a couple things:
• Prices for ammunition can change. The prices listed below are on the cheaper end. High-grade ammunition can be much more expensive than the prices listed below.
• *Range has many variables including: weather, specific ammo, specific gun, gun condition, visibility, and shooting experience to name a few. The best way to know the range of your gun is to use it.

High-Caliber Rifle (Price Range = $300 – $6,000 | Average Price = $800)
These weapons are designed for use in hunting large game like deer or elk from a longer distance. The ammunition is large, heavy, and travels very fast in order to take down larger game from far away with a high level of precision and accuracy.
Common Ammunition Practical Range Availability Price/Round
.30-30 400 yards* Common $1.00
.30-06 900 yards* Common $1.00
.308 Win/7.62x51mm 900 yards* Very Common $0.90

Assault Rifle (Price Range = $400 – $4,000 | Average Price = $1,000)
These weapons are designed for self-defense and are typically semi-automatic (you can just keep pulling the trigger to fire without cocking or reloading). Usually these weapons will hold more rounds of ammunition than a typical hunting rifle and are commonly used with a high-capacity magazine. They are usually shorter than a hunting rifle and have a pistol grip and stock combo for easier handling in close quarters.
Common Ammunition Practical Range Availability Price/Round
7.62x39mm 800 yards* Very Common $0.25
.223/5.56 400 yards* Very Common $0.25

Low-Caliber Rifle (Price Range = $150 – $1,000 | Average Price = $300)
These weapons are designed for hunting smaller animals like rabbits. They have a much shorter range, but the ammunition is significantly less expensive than other weapons. With a little digging you can find rounds for close to a penny each.
Common Ammunition Practical Range Availability Price/Round
.17 HMR 300 yards* Uncommon $0.20
.22 LR (Long Rifle) 100 yards* Very Common $0.05

Tactical Shotgun (Price Range = $200 – $2,000 | Average Price = $500)
Tactical shotguns like assault rifles are intended for short-range self-defense. They usually have a shorter barrel and a choke designed to spread the shot as much as possible. Typically these are pump action or semi-automatic weapons. Barrels shorter than 18” or weapons shorter than 26” are illegal in the USA without proper registration. Another thing to consider is shotguns are the easiest ammunition to load yourself.
Common Ammunition Practical Range Availability Price/Round
12 Gauge 3” #1 30 yards* Common $0.80
20 Gauge 3” #2 30 yards* Common $0.50

Hunting Shotgun (Price Range = $200 – $2,000 | Average Price = $500)
Hunting shotguns are designed for shooting small game (especially birds). These weapons typically have a barrel 28” – 33” long. There are many choices for ammunition depending on your intended use.
Common Ammunition Practical Range Availability Price/Round
12 Gauge 3” Slug 75 yards* Uncommon $0.50
12 Gauge 3” 00 Buckshot 50 yards* Common $0.80
12 Gauge 3” #7 Birdshot 35 yards* Very Common $0.50
Click on the image to compare different kinds of shotgun ammo:

Pistol/Handgun (Price Range = $150 – $3,000 | Average Price = $500)
Pistols, like shotguns and assault rifles are design for close-quarter self-defense. Handguns have the advantage that they can be legally concealed with a proper permit. Ammunition is cheaper than other weapons but still not as cheap as a low-caliber rifle.
Common Ammunition Practical Range Availability Price/Round
9mm 50 yards* Very Common $0.35
.40 S&W 50 yards* Common $0.40
.45 ACP 50 yards* Common $0.45

With a global as well as domestic economic crisis looming, further hostilities in the Middle East, the likelihood of war with Iran (possibly sparking World War III) and turmoil surrounding the coming presidential election, we are indeed living in very precarious times.  Couple that with the DHS continuing to arm itself and various government agencies to the teeth, the possibility of martial law in America is looking more and more likely.
The following article outlines what to expect when martial law rolls into your neighborhood and how to avoid capture.  Big thanks go out to James Smith (aka The Covert Prepper) from Survival and Beyond’s supporting Network; Prepper Podcast Radio.
How to Avoid Getting Trapped in FEMA Camps
By James Smith,
I wrote a news story recently called “How technology will send you to hell in the FEMA camps” It was wildly popular and raised the question in my mind, “How do I prevent my family from going to the camps?”
< LISTEN TO THIS PODCAST BY CLICKING HERE >
The first thing is to know what to expect before hand. While people think about the dollar dropping to nothing, or an Obama re-election, you need to consider the most pressing signs of a pending martial law.

How pending?

About 15 minutes or less away from being put into a bus.

Now there are people who would look forward to 3 hots and a cot. And there are some who would actively encourage you to go to the camps. There was an article that said that social services folks are encourage self-sufficient people to use food stamps, and that the self-sufficient mentallity was preventing more people from being on food stamps.
But we aren’t those people. We are the kinds that enjoy freedom.
So what do we look for?
Using the backbone of a military operation, you must make the enemy (that would be you) deaf, dumb, and blind.

What does that mean? It means you must be blind: Not knowing what to expect, how many men are in the operation, and what your final destination will be. This means that the operation will most likely take place in the middle of the night. When they roll up, mega watt lights will be shone onto the neighborhood. This disorientates you as well as illuminate your home for movement. This also means the power to your block will be secured. Depending on the size of the town, perhaps several blocks at once. That would be a good thing. Read on…

Deaf means that you won’t know what is going on. Loud noises, such as bullhorns shouting orders, diesel engines running, and people yelling at you to go here or there. It also means you won’t be able to receive texts or cell phone service.
Dumb, or mute, means you won’t be able to call anyone, tweet, post a Facebook update, send an email of warning. Imagine if the events took place in Chicago. How quick would such a warning get spread all over Facebook or Twitter. It would “trends” quickly and the element of surprise would be gone.
Making you deaf and dumb is as simple as securing the internet with the Internet Kill Switch. That ends Facebook, Twitter, and Email.

And all you have to do to secure the cell phone or land-line service is to have the US military show up at the local phone office and have them secure all lines in the place. Turning the power off would be as effective as cutting lines, but once power is restored you could have normal service. Infrastructure would be maintained.
Your neighborhood is now deaf, dumb, and blind.
You need to buy yourself some time. Not much time, but just enough time.
And you have about 5 minutes to do it in. Maybe less.
What do you need?
You need to make an alert when you lose power. This is from my site:

“I took a small wall wart that is rated at 12 volts and about 100 mA. I attached it to the power and ground part of a small 12v relay I bought from radio shack. I then took a 9v battery connector and a piezeo alarm and put it on the connectors of the relay that if there is no power to the relay – will allow current to flow. The way you find that is to put the red wire of the connector to the relay, and one of the leads from the alarm to the opposite side of the relay. Connect the black wire and the other alarm wire together.
Provided you have a 9v battery on the connector you should hear a sound. If not, change to a different spot on the relay. So when you apply power by plugging in the wall wart, the sound goes off. Remove the wart or turn off the power, you get an alarm sound. “

When I was in the Navy, any time we lost power we went into an immediate Security Alert. And you should too. When that alarm sounds (Put it in your bedroom as close to the bed as possible), after you pull the alarm out of the socket, get up and hide the children,
And that means you have to have pre-arranged hiding spots.
A window seat is a great way to start. Make a bench, bolt it to the wall under the bedroom window, and make small doors for the child to hide in. You can do the same for your room. Tell the children just to go if they are ever told, and to stay very quiet until you tell them to come out. And only you. Pretend to be someone else and see if they come to them. Soldiers may be very sneaky and say, “Your parents told me to get you. Come on, let’s go to them!”

Practice this frequently so they are aware of what needs to be done, and to be done in the dark, and to be done without question.
If you can’t make a window bench, then fill your closet up with “boxes”. These boxes are “stacked” to make it look like a storage area, but it’s just a shell. If you are in a manufactured home or a single story home, go to the closet and cut open a hatch to the crawl space. Have a black blanket so you can hide under the blanket to stay concealed. USE YOUR IMAGINATION!
The idea is that soldiers don’t have mchu time to search each home. They have to keep moving onto the next house. Once they leave and the power goes back on – DON’T CHANGE ANYTHING. If the bathroom light was on, leave it on. The smart meters will detect and record ANY changes and it will alert someone that there are people within the home!

Drones will be used to monitor communities and neighborhoods. Going out after dark is the same as going out during the day.

If you go out at night, take a night vision capable video camera. Put black platic around the IR lamp that is usually beneath the camera’s lens. This will prevent the drone from seeing the IR light, but you’ll be able to see the IR lights on the drone in the dark.
If you feel froggy, shoot down the drone AS IT LEAVES! The flight will be level and of constant speed, enough for you to get a bead on it. It’s difficult to tell where the shot came from, and you’ll get some satisfaction of taking one down. These thing are expensive and if they have to redirect one away from another area, that means someone else is getting a break.
If you have to move from one place to another, do so during a rain or thunderstorm. These conditions make drone flying very difficult and seeing anything of value VERY difficult. Yes, it is horrible conditions for you, but at least you will be free.

If, during the day, you see people wandering through your town, ignore them and hide. They may be “spies” looking for the last holdouts. As a rule of thumb, 8 to 80, blind, crippled, or crazy, means anyone may be a threat. Don’t kill them, just let them pass through. Watch them to see if they use a radio. IF they do use one, listen for codes such as, “Secure”, “Subjects”, “Natives”, or “SitRep (Situation Report)”
Such phrases would mean that they are looking for you as wolves in sheep’s clothing. DO NOTHING towards them. Get their photos if you can but remain hidden.

Satellites may detect heat from fireplaces, so use the covert cooking methods like solar cooking, Hay Box cooking or Creveche. If you can, light a match in the sewers to eliminate any flammable gasses, and cook down there. The streets should hide the heat signature well enough, especially in the day. Solar cooking using the back of a pickup may be a good decision as it may imitate the accumulated heat of a canopy.

You will be on your own. You will be the deciding factor if you live free or die free.

But it’s your decision. No one else makes it for you.

And that’s why it’s called FREEDOM.

National Guard Whistleblower: “Doomsday Preppers Will Be Treated As Terrorists”

Melissa Melton
Infowars.com
October 25, 2012
I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic…”
So begins the Oath of Enlistment for the U.S. military, but in an explosive interview with a National Guard whistleblower shown below, soldiers are now being advised they will be ordered to break that oath should civil unrest erupt across the country.

photo

Referred to only as “Soldier X” under promise of anonymity, an Army National Guardsman spoke via phone with Infowars Nightly News Producer Rob Dew regarding a recent briefing his unit underwent on actions the military would take in the event that an Obama election loss sparked rioting in America’s streets.
Citing not only recent widespread threats to riot if Mitt Romney were to become the next U.S. president, but threats to actually assassinate him should he win, Soldier X’s superiors dispensed plans of how the National Guard would be responsible for “taking over” and quelling such unrest.

The soldiers were reportedly told “Doomsday preppers will be treated as terrorists.”
In addition, guns will be confiscated.

“They have a list compiled of all these doomsday preppers that have gone public and they plan to go after them first,” Soldier X said. He claimed those in charge are acting under the belief that preppers will be “the worst part” of any potential civil unrest.
Soldier X was also told that any soldiers in the ranks who are known as preppers will be deemed “defects.” He explained the label meant these soldiers would be treated as traitors. “If you don’t conform, they will get rid of you,” he added.

Unit members also warned not to associate with any fellow soldiers who are preppers.
Not only does the military reportedly plan to target preppers should mass chaos break out, but Soldier X also voiced his concerns regarding civilian gun confiscation.
Soldier X admitted, “Our worry is that Obama’s gonna do what he said he’s gonna do and he’s gonna outlaw all weapons altogether and anybody’s name who is on a weapon, they’re gonna come to your house and try to take them.”

It would not be the first time the National Guard has been used to unconstitutionally disarm law-abiding citizens, robbing them of their Second Amendment right to bear arms. In the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, police and military took to the streets disarming lawful gun owners, including  those who were on dry land and had plenty of stored food and water.

Fast forward to this past summer when a leaked Army manual dated 2006 entitled, “Civil Disturbance Operations” surfaced outlining plans not only to confiscate firearms domestically during mass unrest, but to actually detain and even kill American citizens who refuse to hand over their guns. This manual works in conjunction with “FM 3-39.40 Internment and Resettlement Operations,” another Army manual leaked this year, which instructs troops on how to properly detain and intern Americans into re-education camps, including ways that so-called “psy-op officers” will “indoctrinate” incarcerated “political activists” into developing an “understanding and appreciation of U.S. policies and actions.”

Add these manuals to the plethora of Executive Orders Obama has signed during his term which have dismantled our Constitution piece by piece, including the martial law implementing National Defense Resources Preparedness Executive Order which gives the president the power to confiscate citizens’ private property in the event of any national emergency, including economic.
Add it all to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) in which Obama granted powers to disappear and indefinitely detain American citizens without any due process, and it is easy to see the tyrannical big picture our government has painted.
When asked if he would go along with gun confiscation, Soldier X replied he and his fellow like-minded guardsmen planned to stand down — not answer the phone or show up to post.

“I’m sorry but I don’t believe in suicide,” he said.

Preppers are becoming regular government targets these days, most recently when a Missisippi prepper group member with a clean record was suddenly taken off his flight halfway to Japan and informed he was on the no-fly list, an FBI terrorist watchlist, stranding him in Hawaii. Other preppers have been denied their Second Amendment rights without legitimate cause.

It is beyond glaringly obvious at this point the U.S. government is gearing up for mass civil unrest. Not only has the DHS sparked controversy by purchasing billions of rounds of ammo, but the department even went so far as to begin classifying further purchases, blacking out bullet figures it is using taxpayer money to buy.
In addition, while FEMA can procure a billion dollars in bulk food supplies, the FBI’s Communities Against Terrorism project released a flier instructing military surplus store owners to report any customers who “make bulk purchases of items” including “meals ready to eat”.

Should society as we know it collapse following the election, it would seem the ultimate prepper and the ultimate terrorist is, indeed, the U.S. government.
