Severe Weather Alert Great Lakes Region/Central WI - Stormmode/weather.com

Severe Weather Alert Great Lakes Region/Central WI

OK,

This might not be the last of Severe Winter Weather this year.

Don't really care what the Groundhog saw...  Love the Movie, live the content, I feel like sometimes...

So, apparently this one... This on has a name...

"His name was Winter Storm Saturn."

Here is SC WI, we more times than not get a Huge Ice Storm, Winter Snow Dump, or Freezing Rain every Year at the time of the High School Sports Tourneys.

Well,  the WIAA Tornaments are happening this w/e and next...

I'm not sayin', but yeah... just sayin' - Almost Every Year.

Hopefully Everyone has had enough practice by now.

Be Smart, Be Prepared.  Follow Local Alerts.  Don't Drive if You Don't have to.

If you do Drive:

>Slow Down according to conditions

>Practice Winter Driving Techniques: http://madtownpreppers.blogspot.com/2013/01/driving-on-snow-and-ice-weathercom.html#.UTN0elcZx2E

>Monitor CO Exposure - feeling Dizzy/Nauseous or Tired - GET FRESH AIR!!!  IMMEDIATELY!!! CO is a Silent Killer.

>When Traveling, Notify Friends/Family of your Trip. Fill Your Gas Tank.

>Travel Safely: Have a Winter Emergency Kit/Vehicle EDC

>>

We will have Central WI Live Radar HERE via NBC15.com

We've had enough Practice this Year.

We'll be planting Seeds soon.

That won't Change.

Stay Safe.

Driving on Snow and Ice - weather.com

The best advice for driving in bad winter weather is not to drive at all, if you can avoid it.

Don't go out until the snow plows and sanding trucks have had a chance to do their work, and allow yourself extra time to reach your destination. If you must drive in snowy conditions, make sure your car is prepared (TIPS), and that you know how to handle road conditions.

It's helpful to practice winter driving techniques in a snowy, open parking lot, so you're familiar with how your car handles. Consult your owner's manual for tips specific to your vehicle.
